Dramatic Audiobooks

The NEBADOR audiobooks are quite different from most. Instead of a single voice reading the entire book (or, more often, an abridged version), these Dramatic Audiobooks are created from the full text of the stories by a diverse cast of boys and girls, men and women, young, old, and in between. You can meet the cast on the Lumiere Players page.

After the story is recorded and carefully edited, sound effects are added to bring to life the plaintive cry of a hawk, the ring of a blacksmith's hammer, or the threatening growl of a wolf.

Finally, quality music by professional artists sets moods and creates smooth transitions.

The illustrations from the books are included on the disc in JPEG format for viewing with a computer or video player.

Great start to a series and wonderfull idea. An amazing and very talented voice cast for the AudioBook. "Encore Encore!" Thank you to J.Z Colby and Goodreads for the chance to win this book."

5/5 stars "... I loved it. Listening to the tones of someone else. It was awesome.

I can not say enough about it. I would highly recommend it to anyone and have in fact passed it on to someone who loves science fiction and he loved it too. He hates to read so this was great for him....Keep up the good work."
-- Hillgirl, Indiana, LibraryThing.com

"... the audio book version totally enhances the reading experience!"
-- Brigitte Morse, 9-12 Resource Room Teacher, Community High School, Fort Kent, Maine
