For details about the Dramatic Audiobooks of the NEBADOR stories, please see the Audiobooks page.
We are unique in our mission to make live theater accessible to the blind and visually impaired ... by combining a great story with memorable voices, live sound effects, and music. Lumiere Players also has tremendous benefits to offer audiences of all abilities. We believe the next proving ground for aspiring actors is the challenge to express a range of emotions, attitudes, and actions by use of the voice alone ... and to a degree that will sustain the involvement of diverse audiences. We believe that good acting transcends the need for elaborate costumes and sets. Come see for yourself and have fun with Lumiere Players!

Bethany, Katelynn, Kearsten, Norma Cecelia Jack Parkinson: I have done some amateur acting and have been a puppeteer for about 10 years but, this is my first opportunity to be a voice actor in an audio book and it is AWESOME. I live in Newberg with my wife, two daughters, a cat and a dog. I live for adventure, I love the outdoors. My perfect day would include some time in the woods with my dog. I really look forward to the upcoming books and maybe doing some more voice work on some other projects. I really hope you enjoy the books. Book One: Ilika, Slave Master
Cecelia started acting with Vancouver OnStage in Vancouver, Washington approximately 10 years ago. She played "Miss Erickson" in Noel Coward's "Present Laughter," and "Verges, the Headborough" (Sheriff Dogberry's partner) in "Much Ado About Nothing." Cecelia has also been in several plays with Magenta Theatre in Vancouver, Washington, including "Oh Baby, Baby," "Sealegs," and "Murder By Natural Causes." The highlight of Cecelia's acting career (so far) is to have played "Dorothy Loncar" for approximately 6 years in Lumiere Players' "North Platte Canteen." In May of 2007, Lumiere Players was asked to perform "North Platte Canteen" in North Platte, Nebraska for the dedication of the final statue of their World War II Memorial. (My heartfelt "Thank you" to ALL the kind and wonderful North Platte residents for their hospitality! It was an honor to represent you.) At the 2009 AACT Competition, Cecelia was "Bob" (The National Security Advisor to the President of the United States) in Lumiere Players' "Scenario," and recently played "Diana" in Theater in the Grove's "Lend Me A Tenor." Cecelia is also part of both drama teams for the two churches she attends in Vancouver, Washington. Thank you Jonathan and Nancy for allowing me to be part of the terrific Nebador team, and to God for bringing us together to enjoy this exciting opportunity!

Haley Harn: is 14 years old and has done minor acting with 2nd Heart Drama at her church, but her true passion is singing. She also enjoys reading, writing, playing golf, and drawing. Haley does well in school and has an A average. She loves her school and her teachers, because of the socializing and the chances to practice her writing, reading and singing skills since she is an active member in the women's choir at her school. She loves just about any kind of music, laughing and spending time with her friends and family as much as her busy schedule allows. Haley is the voice of Noni in Book Two of the Nebador series and greatly enjoys being part of the audiobook process.
Book Two: Shepherdess Noni
Glenn Russell: This is my first experience doing voice work for audiobooks. My acting career started in 1995 at Clackamas Community College, and includes roles in 35 plays so far, several at Lumiere Players. The trip to Nebraska for "North Platte Canteen" was definitely a highlight. After a 49 year career at Western and Delta Airlines, my worn out back is getting a rest. Retirement activities are less physically demanding, theater being the major interest. Bluegrass music festivals and cruise-ins are favorite summer activities, winter brings model cars, airplanes and boats. Reading happens year round. I'm looking forward to more audio sessions as the villainous High Priest and am anxious to read the rest of the series of books.
