Author Visits

The author does not arrange book signings and talks as marketing tools. He believes that if enough people like his stories, they will invite him. These events are, therefore, not opportunities to "get sales," but rather chances to give back whatever he can to his readers. For this reason, he does not charge for visits.

Whenever he is out and about in the Pacific Northwest, California, and Nevada, the author is happy to stop in at libraries, churches, bookstores, and private schools. He feels the same as most authors about the security measures in public schools. For other locations, he will put you on his list, and arrange a visit if he is planning to be in the area.

The author freely admits he is not an in-person entertainer or comedian. Therefore, he is only interested in talking to groups who want him to be there and are interested in the topic. Most specifically, he does not do "assemblies" at schools.

He will listen, answer questions as best he can, and talk about the scientific, psychological, philosophical, and ethical implications of his stories. He will also talk about the process of writing, and loves to help others get started writing their own stories. He is not, generally, interested in talking about himself. His books are about many things, but his personal life is not one of them.

Interviews

The author is a writer, and freely admits that he has no skill at on-the-spot interviews. For this reason, he only does interviews when he can ponder his answers, which is to say, knowing the questions ahead of time, or completely by mail.
